Loyde E. (Matt) Mattern, EN3SS, from Everett, Washington, served aboard the Perch from 1956 through 1958.  Loyde was a shipmate of Howard (Stoney) Stone, and still remembers the lemons from Stoney's house.

Loyde has sent the website lots of photos from his days on the Perch so that every Perch sailor could enjoy them.  His poor health may prevent him from attending the reunion in Las Vegas in April, 2006.  Please let Loyde know if you enjoyed these pictures.  HIs email is:  lem98503@comcast.net.   Thanks, Loyde, for your contribution to the website!
