Taking a Noon Site

I had good navigation gear, most of what I bought, but some old stuff the Navy was throwing away.  My compas only cost $11.00, but it worked well, and a big Zenith Transoceanic Radio that weighed about 30#.
Taking any site on a calm day was easy.  On a rough day it was very hard to get a good horizon. Also keeping the stop watch dry was a problem.
A typical meal.
Cooking on a rough weather day was hard, and on a calm day it was to hot to be running the gas stove.  I also had some problems keeping fresh food dry.
